Bricolage Board Committees

Happenings Committee
This committee is for the host in you. Bricolage is an organization that likes to throw a good party and we set the scene about 15 times a year. Our sophisticated and giving energy drives all of our events and every time we 'throw down' the impression left makes more than a memory. If you like planning parties, social connections, and showing people a good time The Happenings Committee is where you'll shine.

Media Committee
The Media Committee is the visual and vocal expression of Bricolage. Members of this committee should have photography, video, graphic design, web design, writing, marketing and/or all around artistic skills. Our supporters have come to expect class and style when we stamp our logo on an image or an idea and the need to maintain this distinction is paramount. If you have a calling to work behind the camera, create a buzz or start a movement The Media Committee is the answer.

Production Committee
Did you play with Tonka Trucks and Erector Sets growing up? Are you more likely to build a bookshelf then to buy one? Do you know how to use an awl? Then have we got a tool belt for you. Members of The Production Committee maintain the look of our ever-changing space by working in the old school manner. If you like to use your hands, lift heavy objects, wield a screw gun all the while looking forward to a piping hot pizza pie, then we need you on this team. Blood, sweat and mozzarella are the building blocks of any great theatre.

Capital Committee
This committee focuses on fundraising, the foundation of our company - our lifeblood. Individuals on this committee should have grant writing skills, connections to people with funds, and/or an interest in leadership. This all-important group will steer Bricolage into the future by maintaining an open dialogue with the grant makers of Pittsburgh, seeking out new a different resources of income and connecting Bricolage and it's core members to foundations of power interested in supporting the arts in their community. If you are a natural manager, a person who can think beyond the box and are equipped with writing skills The Capital Committee is where you'll thrive.

Strategic Committee
The Strategic Committee is made up of problem solvers and great listeners. This committee faces the fundamental weaknesses of the organization and strategizes to strengthen those areas where improvement is vital. Members of this committee are professionals equipped with the tools for problem solving, mediating and monitoring. Young theatre companies striving to survive frequently hit bumps in the road and The Strategic Committee flourishes when faced with these snags and rises to the challenge of helping to traverse the hurdles with grace in order to sustain a prosperous arts organization.
