PlaySlam

To Pittsburgh Guild Member and Pittsburgh Playwrights:

Jozef Spychala and Tammy Ryan are planning another town hall meeting for November 7th at Bricolage Theater Company, 937 Liberty Avenue (downtown) Pittsburgh.  It is tentatively planned to start at 3pm with a PlaySlam beginning around 4:30pm where you can have an opportunity to share your work with fellow playwrights as well as an invited audience of local theater artists.  We plan to invite directors and artistic directors from the city's smaller venues, such as No Name Players, Terra Nova Theater Company, Off The Wall  and others interested in producing new work. We'll have time for a meet and greet at the end of the meeting.

If you are interested in attending the Town hall meeting please rsvp to Tammy Ryan tammyryanplays@gmail.com.  If you are interested in participating in the Play Slam you must sign up with Tammy Ryan*.   Each playwright will have 5 minutes to present an excerpt from a new work.   No actors, just yourselves, let's make it easy.   The first 24 playwrights who contact Tammy will have a chance to share 5 minutes (not pages) of their work. (Guild members though will be given priority)

Bricolage is generously offering discount tickets to Guild members attending this event to their production of Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom by Jennifer Haley that evening at 9pm.  For more information see below or contact Tami Dixon at tami@webbricolage.org.  If you want the discounted tickets you must contact Tami Dixon.*

*Yes, don't be confused there are two Tammy/Tami's in Pittsburgh.  Tammy Ryan is the DG's corep you need to rsvp if you're coming to the meeting. Tami Dixon is producing director for Bricolage Theater company that you should rsvp if you are interested in attending Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom.
