Chris is the Associate Artistic Director of The Florida Repertory Theatre, and currently serves on the faculty of The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Chris made his Off Broadway debut in All in the Timing. Representative theatres: The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Kennedy Center, Florida Repertory Theatre, Florida Stage, The Hangar, The Paper Mill Playhouse, The Virginia Stage Company, Philadelphia Theatre Company and The Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati. He received The Best Actor Carbonell for his performance in The Mystery of Irma Vep at The Florida Shakespeare Festival and The Barrymore Award as part of the ensemble in The Philadelphia Theatre Companies production of Sideman. TV: The Sopranos, Rescue Me, Law and Order, All My Children and Another World. As a director, Chris has directed 14 plays here at The Depot. He is very pleased to finally stand on the other side of the theatre with this piece. For Betsy.

John's been directing for over thirty years all over this country and in London, where his world premiere of BURNING BLUE at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on the West End garnered 2 Olivier nominations. His credits include directing Kim Hunter in the off B'way premiere of EYE OF THE BEHOLDER and the hugely popular RHYTHM OF LOVE at Stamford's Center for the Arts, as well as teaching Shakespeare at Bard College for three years. He's very happy to be working with Mr.Clavelli on this amazing piece. Their association goes back 26 years to Boston, where he directed Chris in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and the title role in ELEPHANT MAN for the Publick Theatre.

But what’s the worst that can happen? Can you handle that, and go on, waking up each day, doing the work, laughing at yourself? Maybe you could even get to a place where you turn the worst into a sort of gift. Almost. To yourself, to a very special boy, and to us. Now that’s tough.
