Submissions

We are now accepting 10-minute radio-play submissions for our upcoming season of Midnight Radio running June thru October, 2010.

Midnight Radio is a monthly episodic “live” radio series, set after hours, complete with honey-voiced announcers, commercial breaks, vintage vinyl sound effects, and Foley props.

Each Midnight Radio episode contains 3 radio plays, musical acts, news/social/comic correspondents, original commercials, audience participation segments and a hell of a good time. All underscored by old school Foley props and a live musician.

Format:
Each radio play should be formatted with 18pt Times New Roman font, 1 1/2-spaced, with music highlighted in blue, sound effects in red. Aside from killer dialogue and super interesting plots, each play should integrate an aural environment. Below is a sample list of genres.

Sample Genres: (Note you can also create your own genre)

Horror, Sci-Fi, Suspense/Crime, War, Romance, Radio Porn, Fantasy/Fairy Tale, Western, Action/Adventure

Other springboard ideas: ER, Survivor, 24, Lost, The Wire, CSI, Star Trek, Rome, Quantum Leap, etc. You get the picture.

Each playwright whose play is selected will receive a stipend.
