For this years First Night celebration we're opening our doors for some story telling and some reflecting. Using the materials from the set of our last production, Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom, we're building an encahnted story fort. We'll be create stories in the moment with whomever walks behind the curtain and in our lobby you'll be able to write down your wishes, dreams, hopes, gratitudes.
[Post Mortum - Not too many kids showed up for the creation of stories in the story fort and the ones who did weren't talking age (although I will say that the story of the pink pony who took us to the zoo was pretty fantastic.) Our fort organically morphed into a continuous flow of grown ups swaping true life stories. The only rule was that if you entered the fort you had to tell a story. It was wonderful.]
